Job Summary
An automotive repair and maintenance workshop based in Silverton, Pretoria is seeking a qualified Petrol Mechanic to perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on light vehicles, including German brands.
The successful candidate will be responsible for engine and gearbox repairs, mechanical and electrical fault finding, diagnostics and general vehicle servicing, while maintaining accurate job records and documentation.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong experience in automotive repair, vehicle diagnostics, engine rebuilding, gearbox repairs and maintenance of light vehicles in a workshop environment.
Requirements / Qualifications
Red Seal Trade Certificate
Strong recent experience as an automotive petrol mechanic
Experience working on German vehicle brands and light vehicles
Experience in engine and gearbox repairs
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical fault finding and diagnostics
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Ability to communicate in Afrikaans and English
Valid driver’s licence and own transport
Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
Stable employment history with contactable references
Must reside in Pretoria or within commuting distance
