Job Summary
A law firm based in Irene, Centurion is seeking an experienced Commercial Law Attorney to manage commercial and corporate law matters within a non-litigious legal environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting contracts, advising on commercial transactions, handling corporate law matters and supporting clients on complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
This opportunity is ideal for an admitted attorney with strong experience in commercial law, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate finance and transaction structuring.
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor of Laws Degree and admission as an Attorney
Fully proficient in Afrikaans and English, both verbal and written
Minimum four years post admission experience in Commercial Law and Corporate Law
Experience in mergers and acquisitions
Ability to work independently
Strong contract drafting skills
Sound knowledge of corporate and commercial transactions
Understanding of corporate finance, private equity, deal structuring and transactional tax
Master of Laws Degree in Commercial Law advantageous
B.Com Finance degree advantageous
Computer literacy in MS Office
Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
Stable employment history with contactable references
