Job Summary

A leading education and training organisation is seeking an experienced Curriculum Development Manager / Curriculum Design Manager to lead the design, development, and implementation of high-quality learning experiences for future artisans. Based in Braamfontein, this in-person role focuses on managing curriculum design strategy, overseeing learning programme development, and ensuring that all content is engaging, pedagogically sound, and aligned with industry and educational standards.

The successful candidate will lead a team of Learning Experience Designers, oversee curriculum and project delivery, support quality assurance processes, and contribute to building scalable education systems that support learner success. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in curriculum development, instructional design, vocational education, learning programme management, LMS (Learning Management Systems) platforms, educational content creation, and training environment leadership.

Success in this role will be measured by the delivery of high-quality, industry-aligned technical and soft skills curricula, the leadership of a high-performing team of Learning Experience Designers, meaningful student learning impact and skills development, and the creation of scalable systems for content development, quality assurance, and implementation that support organisational growth.

Requirements / Qualifications

Honours Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field
3–5 years’ work experience managing learning design projects
Proven experience in managing and developing small teams
Strong knowledge of educational software programmes and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Experience working within an educational or training environment
Exceptional writing and communication skills
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible learning content
Experience in facilitation, teaching, or training is highly beneficial
