Job Summary

A company is seeking a skilled and reliable UPS and Solar Technician to join its technical team. The successful candidate will assist with and at times independently carry out the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of UPS systems, solar power systems and related electrical equipment.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in UPS systems, inverters, solar installations, battery systems, electrical maintenance, fault finding and system commissioning. The role requires strong technical ability, problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience working with UPS systems, inverters and solar installations
Knowledge of battery systems, including lithium-ion and lead-acid
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work at heights
Ability to work in different site conditions
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and backup power equipment

Skills / Competencies

Installation and commissioning of UPS systems and solar power systems
Fault finding and repair on inverters, batteries, solar panels and UPS equipment
Preventative maintenance and system inspections
Electrical wiring, testing and system configuration
Job reporting and maintenance documentation
Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving
Ability to work independently and in a team
